BVoc or Bachelor of Vocation has become one of the most popular courses in India as vocational or skill-based education is more significant in the current times. BVoc aims at providing adequate skills required for a particular trade. The course is different from traditional academic programmes as it deals more with application-based studies rather than focusing on only theoretical knowledge. BVoc is a three-year duration undergraduate course that can be pursued in a wide range of fields starting from healthcare, food technology and hospitality to creative fields like graphic designing and beauty & wellness.

Course Curriculum for BVoc

As stated above, a BVoc course is of three-years duration, further divided into six semesters. The course curriculum of BVoc is industry-based which contains about 40% general education (theory) and 60% vocational training (practical) components. This means that apart from studying the regular curriculum, all students need to undergo industrial training or project work for at least four to eight weeks every semester. Subjects taught in a BVoc programme depend on the specialisation chosen by the candidate.
